Ramgarh lake, Rajasthan

Location: 240 km from New Delhi. 20 km from Jaipur. As you come from New Delhi turn
left from NH8 and take the by-pass. Almost immediately turn left for
Ramgarh.
Travel time New Delhi: 4.5 hours.
Travel time from Jaipur: 30 minutes.

Best time to travel: November to April.

A placid expanse of water surrounded by rocky hills. The lake measures nearly 4 Kms. in length and 2 kms in width.

You can stay at the Ramgarh Lodge a former hunting lodge of the Maharaja of Jaipur, now owned by the Taj group. The resort has all the markings of a regal lodge. The king sized bedrooms over look the lake which lap the front lawn of the lodge. The long dining table is big enough to seat at least 20 people.
You can also stay at the RTDC hotel which also overlooks the lake.

Both places are ideal for a quiet getaway with your family or with friends.
