Kerala in Monsson- Pictures from a House Boat.

Sitting in House Boat and traveling the waterways can be surreal experience. The misty rain contrast sharply with the rich greenery as we chug along. There is water water everywhere in Kerala -clean sparkling water. You can associate southern part of Kerala with two identities- coconut palms and water.

An average household in Southern Kerala will have at least 2 ponds in their yard- one for bathing and the other for washing utensils.

To reach the houses of you neighbours you either have to walk in a stream or travel in a canoe. Such is the life style in Kerala!
