Walking along the riverfront in Singapore

If you are in a mood to  stroll along the banks of the river or you want to be with with your your favourite gang of friends and are in a mood to swig beer and swap yarns with them or if you  just want to sit on the embankment and gaze at the brightly lit tourists boats as they go sailing by, then you need to be at Clarke Quay in Singapore.

As the sun begins to set and the place comes alive. The open air restaurants that line both side of the canal are crammed with youngsters, and office goers who drop in for  a short respite before they head home. The sound of laughter and clinking glasses fill the air.  A line of trees provide soothing shade for the walkers.  The restaurants beckon you with delicious aroma of food. The colourful lights simmering across the river has an ethereal quality. Clarke Quay is a ‘must visit’ if you happen to be in Singapore.
