 1. Shani Shingnapur- The residents of this hamlet in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra do not lock their houses for the simple reason their houses do not have doors.And why don't they have doors for their houses. This place is famous for its Shanidev temple. The temple has a stone deity instead of an idol. The residents of this place have an implicit faith that their deity will protect them from any criminal trespass!
