Like an injured lion, the majestic ruins of the Begumpuri Masjid Jahanpanah stands neglected and in isolated the residential colonies of Sarvapriya Vihar notwithstanding.. The towering walls and the sprawling quadrangle tell a story of events long long time ago. Once upon a time people came here for solace, to beseech the gods, to pray or to just sit in quiet and serene surroundings. Today it stands neglected to pigeons and a few curious stragglers.
